Learning the ins and outs

I have began my research of the czech language by analyzing the pronunciations of diffderent leetters and accents in the language. Some things are easy because they are the same things in english. Others are more challenging because you have recognize which pronunciation of the letter to use, for example just "a" is a short a such as in "ant". But "â" is a long a such as in "are". Yet other letters are more difficult, like "ř" does not have an english equivalent so i have determine how i think it actually sounds. The book in which i am learning from says its sounds almost like a "rsh" sound. But i am having a great time speaking and memorizing works, i don't know why but czech is a very fun language to speak due to its gutteral and deep pronunciations. Most importantly i am as interested as ever to be studying this diverse language!
